Hello. I am Devon. There is one thing that I want to do with my life…and that is to act. This isn’t a phase where in two weeks, after nothing has happened, I give up. I have wanted to act for many many years, and now, I’m going to do whatever it takes to get it.
I have been in a lot of local plays and musicals. I absolutely loved and cherished each and every one of them. My dream for many many years has been to go into Hollywood and be in a movie. Though, this is difficult for me, because of my current financial situation, and location. I live in Minnesota…not much happens in Minnesota.
I very much hope that you guys can help me out. I want some advice on places I can go (such as websites), things I can do, and just general tips…I would very much appreciate it…I want this…I really do.
I hope you don’t take this as some kid who thinks he can get into the business like that. I know that there is a lot of hard work and determination to put into this. I know that there are millions of people out there that are in the same situation as me. I know that failure is a major part of this industry…I just really want this. And you know what, I’m good at it.
Please, if you could help me… I would really appreciate it

Alright, I know tons of people ask this question but I just want to take progressive steps. I’m 17, I already played in an independant film (had a few lines) and its going to 22 film festivals. i dont know where its going but, I’m not expecting to be famous. I want to do this work (acting) because I love it I would even consider working as a screenwriter or behind the scenes. I just need some advice on what to do, somone said go to big spots in Hollywood and just hang aound there and see what happens. Or shuold i find an agent? But I not unrealistic, I know millions want to break into the buisness. I dont have much money either. The thing is I just LOVE the stuff. Every since I was a kid, I knew it was something for me. Another thing is I’m not caucasian. I am south american, hungarian and filipino (I know that doesnt call for as many roles). But I have determination and a weird feeling that I WILL be an actress. I thank you all in advance.

Now lets me get a few things out there before I start. 1.I’m not a weirdo. Thought this question may give off the impression. It’s not a question one hears often at all. 2. This is an honest question so please, no insults.
As a kid, I was never allowd to put posters on my wall because my mom always yelled at me for ruining the wallpaper. It was bogus. Everyone I knew was allowed Carmen Electra posters and what not. I was always like WTF to my controlling mother. It was also as if I was not supposed to want to look at girls or something. My life is weird. But anyways, from the ages of 15-22, i put up pics of Victoria’s Secret and Shirley of Hollywood lingerie models on the computer screen background. I’m not sure exactly what made me start that, but I did it. It was my mom’s computer but I used it 60% of the time then about 40-30% of the time during the ages of 17-20. I never got yelled at for having them nor did I really get spoken to about putting them up there. This was all going on on the same account which meant that the pics would be visible when logged on. My explanation was that they made me feel safe. lol I know it sounds strange. But they made me happy since my social life was crap. I got bullied alot and girls(along with jsut people in general) never seemed to like me. Besides what I just gave you, what erges someone to do something like this? I almost feel like some kind of a monster. I WOULD NEVER EVER PUT NUDITY UP THERE. I know where the line was drawn. Also, another detail, I come from a white family who is not racist, but against interracial dating and marriage. So during the times of 19-21, I was osting pics of Asian girls since I love them the most. Tila Tequila, Natasha Yi, and Morena Corwin. Some pics were racier than others but never came off as being too much. What do you think the thought behind all this was??
