How Could My Question About A Swedish Music Artist Be A Violation To Yahoo Rules?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

I recently asked a question if anybody likes the folk music *********-*****, but this question was immediately deleted and 10 points removed from my account !!!
The field “ reason” was left blank in the Yahoo email, so I don’t really understand how on earth this question could be considered so offensive it had to be deleted!
Here are the only 3 reasons I can possible think of:
1.
This has a very unusual (ethnic) name (probably the only name in the world containing 6 k’s), but how can this be considered offensive, even by sensitive Americans?
Or is Yahoo perhaps racists?
2.
The other reason for might be the supplied y o u t u b e link, with an excerpt from an old move (from 1963) where the participates “as himself”, singing for some ladies. Is this perhaps considered offensive in the American mind, or a copyright ?
(In any way it can’t very well be a Hollywood , since the excerpt is from a film, and has a lot more liberal copyright laws than USA).
3.
There was also included the lyrics and name of the song he is singing, just to supply full information.
However, the question itself was in English, so that shouldn’t be a problem (or was it?)
PS:
If you want to know the (uncensored) name of the and reading the email (including the contents of the original question) then you can email me and ask for it.
I’m sorry I can’t publish it directly here, but then *this* question will probably also be considered a !
I might add that although not everybody likes the music from this , he was during his lifetime highly respected in since he traveled around and visited old and sick
people and sung for them, and donated his fees to charity.
(My old Christian grandmother liked him very much, and as a kid I often listened to his music with her…).
It’s not that I won’t accept a justified notice if I’m asking something inappropriate, but I think it is very rude and uncivilized by Yahoo to not even state the reason for a supposed , and also sending out standardized “deny-replies” to appeals. (I actually suspect it’s an automatic process and there are no real humans involved in the appeal process).
Anyway, I will not participate in Yahoo Answers any more since I’m really fed up with their silly and arbitrary “-style” censorship, but first I would really like to have an answer why my question was considered a
