Why Is The Media So Obsessed With Michelle Obama’s Clothing?
Just recently during the G-20 meetings, the focus was more on the clothes Michelle Obama wore rather than the policies the G-20 leaders discussed.
Are you kidding? Why are we mixing Hollywood’s glitz and glamor with politics? Who cares what Michelle Obama’s wearing? I DON’T! And if you’re more interested in politics, you shouldn’t either! Grrrrr Maybe Al-Jazeera English is a better source of information than CNN (Celebrity News Network) and Faux.

They do that with all first ladies. Its very sexist. Sometimes the first ladies start new fashion trends so the media thinks people are interested in what they wear. I think they should leave that to the fashion magazines if they have to follow it at all.

I don’t care either, and I work in the fashion industry too.
I think it’s a 50/50 between Obama lovers praising what she wears, and anti – Obama ppl criticizing it.
I think when it comes down to it, fashion is the last thing the news should be reporting on these days. Unfortunately the news networks want to entertain more than inform. Ratings are the only goal.

After telling us that Obama was the Messiah and the most wonderful gift from God, they realize that he is woefully over his head. They can not speak against him, so they divert attention from his gaff filled White House by telling us that Michelle Obama has arms.
Can’t wait until they start comparing Michelle’s butt to Jenifer Lopez.
MSNBC still tells us what Bush is doing while their star child, citizen of the world, has no idea what language they speak in Austria, bows to an Arab King, etc. Had Bush done these things, we’d never hear the end of it… ever. David Letterman would do a week of Top 10 lists on that alone.

While they like to compare Obama to Abraham Lincoln, they could not put a good light on comparing Michelle to Mary Todd. Instead, they have opted to treat her as the new “Jackie”
It’s a shame because Jackie really was a very attractive, warm hearted, classy lady. Michelle does not hold a candle to Jackie, but don’t tell her that. She would deeply resent being told she holds second fiddle to a white lady.

Any time they can broadcast and make the news instead of reporting it , it take no effort. Reporting is now like a reality show , all for glitz and glamor and no in depth research or meat to a story .
Popularity and showmanship. Entertainment between the commercials is what news has been or has become.

Because the media is fickle.
Forget the plight of the Ogoni people in the Niger Delta. Don’t worry about the impending court battle between Rwanda and France. Pay no attention to the upcoming elections in Iran.
No, the latest fashion statements of politicians are MUCH more important than international affairs. Obviously.

The US media does not report actual news. They report distractions and nonsense to keep people from realizing what is actually happening. Also many Americans are no longer capable of understanding what is actually happening.

because people who buy the tabloids are not interested in world affairs. they only like looking at pictures of nice shoes etc and they are also a bit partial to pretending to be involved in the funerals of people they never met.

I heard she has been compared to Jacqueline Kennedy and the media was in hype about that in 61′ and 62′ so maybe that could be why.
Personally I think the G20 bill is a New World Order plan.

This is typical for first ladies…especially this early in a term. Funny so many are whining about it. If you’re not interested, ignore it. What’s the big deal?

Its’ something for the ladies via the Jackie Kennedy phenomenon. Let’s face it politics is sexy aside from being hugely meaningful to the general well being. Also agree with below.

It is because the media no longer understands politics because their audience no longer require them to.

Most of the focus was on the G20 meetings dude, very little was on her clothes.
You’re confusing day-time talk shows with news reports.

Lol, well it seems an awful lot of people on this category have no idea what the G20 communique says, so the media has done it’s job.

They have a hollow life with very little constructive abilities. They need to get a life.

Why was the media so obsessed with making Bush look so much worse than he really was?

offshoot of her popularity

To get you and the rest of the nation brainwashed by focusing on banale superficial details about these great leaders (laugh!).
For your information NONE of the mainstream net works are good source’s news because it is all lies and disinformation. It is all owned by the same people. P.J. Morgan was quoted in 1913 when he took control of all the newspapers “I will tell the people what news I think they should know”
This politics thing, IT’S ALL JUST AN ILLUSION!
The votes are fixed, the leaders have been selected not voted for.
Absolutely, don’t be conned by politics. They are different horses from the same stable to con you into thinking that your vote counts, well it doesn’t. Watch Clinton Curtis inventor of the computerised voting machine and you will see the inventor swearing in court that the votes are fixed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzBI33kOi…
They present you with left and right ideologies to fool YOU into thinking you have a say, WELL YOU DON’T it’s all a con and anybody that votes in the present legal system is brainwashed.
Just to show how deceived you are read below about Tony Blair’s corruption and then watch and be amazed at Clinton’s involvement with murder and drugs.
Blair covering up pedophile scandal?’
While British Prime Minister Tony Blair is under criminal suspicion in the “honorurs-for-cash” scandal that has rocked his Laborur government, we have been told that there is an even more explosive scandal that Blair, up to now, has managed to hide behind the draconian British policy of issuing “D-Notices,” government orders that prohibit the British media from reporting on certain “national security” cases.
In 1999, an international investigation of child pornographers and papedophiles run by Britain’s National Criminal Intelligence Service, code named Operation Ore, resulted in 7,250 suspects being identified in the United Kingdom alone. Some 1850 people were criminally charged in the case and there were 1451 convictions. Almost 500 people were interviewed “under caution” by police, meaning they were suspects. Some 900 individuals remain under investigation. In early 2003, British police began to close in on some top suspects in the Operation Ore investigation, including senior members of Blair’s government.
However, Blair issued a D-Notice, resulting in a gag order on the press from publishing any details of the investigation. Blair cited the impending war in Iraq as a reason for the D-Notice. Police also discovered links between British Laborur government papedophile suspects and the trafficking of children for purposes of prostitution from Belgium and Portugal (including young boys from the Casa Pia orphanage in Portugal).
Tony Blair: stifling investigations of papedophiles in his Labour government.
In the United States, Operation Ore’s counterpart was Operation Avalanche. However, U.S. authorities only charged 100 people out of 35,000 investigated. The international papedophile investigation began when Dallas police and the US Postal Inspection Service raided the offices of Landslide Productions of Fort Worth, Texas and confiscated records on thousands of people around the world who were child pornography customers of the firm. Landslide’s halcyon days as a Fort Worth-based international online marketplace of kiddies porn was during the term of Texas Governor George W. Bush.
WMR has learned that the Bush administration, like that of Blair, is rife with papedophiles in top positions. The papedophile network also extends to the U.S. defense industry, particularly some of the companies that have been involved in the sexual abuse of minors at overt and covert U.S. prisons in Abu Ghraib, Iraq; Guantanamo, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Thailand, and now, at three prisons in Ethiopia.

Tony Blair’s closest confidante’s is a practicing pedophile, are even suggesting that this particular scandal, and not Blair’s repeated lies and fabricated reports in regard to Iraq, may well prove the downfall of a government mired in sleaze and corruption.
