In this instance, the dog whispere even approved and recommended the use of a shock collar. This is not something that I usually recommend and have never used one on my dog. However, as you have a good-sized dog, if your dog is off leash sometimes and you feel that this is a life or death situation with the car chasing, I would consider seeking professional assistance with a shock collar. They can be put on very low setting and are highly effective. usually, after short intensive training, the dog learns so well that they can be removed and never used again. I would like to reiterate that this is not something that I have done and my dog lives a life better than most children.
