Is It Possible To Be Optimistic If You’re An Actor Or Actress?

is it to be optimistic if i don’t get the of work/ that i want or ANY work/ AT ALL? sometimes i stop and think “seriously, who are you kidding? you’re 1 in a billion. what makes you think you’re gonna “make it” in hollywood or be successful? why you? ”
i know it’s a but this is how i feel right now. however, i still fight because i DEFINITELY don’t want to live my life thinking “what if…..” ya know? but then some days i just wanna quit.

It’s not only possible, it’s VERY important. Actors deal with rejection and disappointment on a weekly, if not daily basis. An important part of trying to make it as an actor is developing the ability to not let this get you down.
Just ensure that you are the best you can be and be persistent. Keep going to workshops, classes, auditions. Keep trying to improve yourself and just keep trying. Persistence pays.
Good things come to those that wait. You just have to find the right place/time for you.
Best of luck and I hope this helps.

I am optimistic and an actor so it can happen. I also have NO desire to be in hollywood making films. I set out to be a working actor, I am.
Try, because as you say, you don’t want to have to live thinking, ‘what if?’
If you love acting you will find a way to do it.

If you love it keep at it. Build a portfolio of work and keep trying. A good agent can help once you have some experience. Do something..even if it is community theatre. Network, network, network
