Why Do These Dumb A S S Hollywood People Adopt Kids From Other Countries When?
so many kids here in the US need good homes?
I honestly think it shouldn’t be allowed. I think we should only be allowed to adopt american children.

They probably think they are doing a good thing, when actually they would do better to leave the child in their community and instead support the community to develop a sustainable way of living – this way instead of just helping one person, they are helping a whole community and helping generations to come. And this doesn’t just apply to children from other countries, it applies to the US, UK and other western countries who still have relatively poor communities (that is in comparison to the richest in those countries, rather than the poorest in the world) who will continue to be deprived of opportunities to succeed if something isn’t done about it.

You think it shouldnt be allowed? Talk about that being none of your business!
A kid is a kid, who cares where they come from? I think is because is easier to adopt somewhere else? I personally dont care because it really doesnt keep me up at night. I have enough crap to worry about in MY life to be worrying about blocking hollywood stars of adopting from foreign countries.
I do agree with the guy from HBO he’s a comedian that said about Angelina Jolie “Someone needs to tell that chick that when she goes on vacation, is okay to bring back just a t-shirt”

I think the same way on that matter.I think it has alot to do with less red tape and waiting period. US is so slow at everything. Other countries are probably cheaper also… I have been reading lately on Celebs. lif styles and just recently realized that although many celebs have homes in the US they actually live in other countries such as Europe, France,Italy and so on. So when they stand on stage and talk of being proud they are American, are they really?

The world is one place.
Saving a child is saving a child, regardless of the country they come from.
Open your mind a bit.

It’s *very* hard to adopt children from America. It can take YEARS for the adoption process to go though, as where China you can adopt a child in just a few months.

American law does so little to protect the rights of adoptive parents. Birth parents have come back 3 or 4 years later and reclaimed thier children. I cannot imagine the pain suffered by all in that siyuation. When children are adopted internationally, it is forever!!!!!!!

Well good thing you are not in charge….A child is a child….no life should go unnoticed… I would think that the mortality rate is a bit higher in a foreign country than in the US….So you would rather save a child that is living vs. a child that is dying? Is that what you are trying to say?

So they can be a blessing to poor families. And also bringing kids from bad conditions in some other place (starving, disease, drought) to America isn’t too bad. All you have to do now is teach them about Jesus, but most celebs are unfortunately, spiritually dead. : (

I guess you have no idea that its easier to adopt a child from another country, for an American child you can wait years and years to get one. If you truly want a baby you won’t care where it comes from

probably because the kids who need adoption in the U.S. are in better living conditions than those of other countries. But i dont know for sure. I was thinking that a while back…they are probably guilted into it by all them ‘feed the children’ commercials.

I don’t think about how if they’re adopting kids from other countries, the children most likely will never learn their own culture and language. It’s nice that they’re trying to “help”, but they people should really stick with their own race when adopting.

Publicity.

Well, at least they are taking a needy child into their homes. A child saved is a child saved, no matter where s/he comes from.

I agree, since they’re parent are full time celebrities they aren’t going to get full parenting and grow up well, they are gonna grow up with expectations wayy too high, they need proper attention

It makes all those rich, white people feel good about themselves to adopt babies from other races ( cultures ).

I think it’s easier and quicker for them to get a child from a foreign country, than adopting from the U.S.

I hope you, and your tyrannical views, never lead our country.

The worst conditions in the US are considered a luxury in many, many countries around the world.
The laws in the US are crap for this. You have sperm donors getting sued for child support, and children being literally torn from their adoptive and loving parents’ homes-the only parents they’ve ever known- because of this messed up system.
I’m not judging, however I think doing a good deed is doing a good deed. A lot of kids need help out there. It’s admirable that you’ve adopted 2 US kids to help out, very admirable! But it’s also admirable that these celebs (and non celebs) are adopting kids and helping (wherever).
I would liken the stance that it’s BS to help people in other countries while people here suffer to this. You know how many different needs there are ; help for homeless, abused women, poverty/food pantries, good medical aid, dental aid, literacy help, animal rights/protection, etc etc..the list would be huge. Well, it would be like saying it’s crap to donate towards animal rights, when so many people don’t have enough food. Or towards helping the homeless when so many people need medical exams. Etc. It’s just all good. Why bust someone for trying to be a positive force? And it’s really their own personal choice.
And honestly..we’re talking about children here..does it really matter where they come from?? My protection instincts towards a child know no such bounds as race or country or anything , honestly.
Just my opinion.
